Flying to the island. On the west side of the island is the airfield “Endelave International Airport”, which was established in 1964 by Karin and Jens Toft at their farm. The airport is frequently visited by smaller aircraft from both abroad and inland, and the flying guests are clearly seen in the cityscape, riding the airport’s red bicycles with yellow rims.
