At Endelave, unique and protected nature and cozy Danish island atmosphere await.
The trip to Endelave is taken either by ship or by small aircrafts.
Flying to the island. On the west side of the island is the airfield “Endelave International Airport”, which was established in 1964 by Karin and Jens Toft at their farm. The airport is frequently visited by smaller aircraft from both abroad and inland, and the flying guests are clearly seen in the cityscape, riding the airport’s red bicycles with yellow rims.
In the town you will find places to eat (Kroen Endelave – The Inn, Havfruen restaurant by the campsite or cafe/grill Udsigten, at the harbor). It may be open seasonally, so please refer to the websites.
Feel free to visit the island’s beautiful Lægeurtehave, garden with medicinal herbs at Søndermølle 29, where you will find the seasonal opened island shop with local products.
Take a look inside Butik Englefryd “Boutique Angels delight” at Kongevejen 11, a small arts and crafts shop next to the inn.
You can find the grocery store at Kongevejen 17, the opening hours are shown on the entrance door.
At Vesterby 50 you will find the Millhouse, a small beer and wine room, Møllehuset, øens lille øl- og vinstue.
There are fine places to take a swim at the islands new bathing facilities on the outer pier of the harbor. And then there is never far to go to the nearest beautiful sandy beach.
Experience the island on foot, on horseback or by bicycle. Bring your own bicycle or rent a bicycle at the harbour (get inspired to your bicycle tour here)- or experience the island from the back of an Icelandic horse.
Go for a walk on the island’s popular hiking route “Kaninoen”, which goes alle the way around the island (21 km), walk og cycle the slightly shorter “Mini-Kanino” via Endelave Strandvej around the northern tip “Øvre” (12 km).
